Caring for your jewellery

Sterling Silver will naturally tarnish, with or without regular wear but there are ways to reduce tarnish and ways to clean off tarnish when it does occur.

To reduce tarnish, I recommend that you:

  • Remove your jewellery before a bath or shower and before exercising

  • Avoid chlorine and cleaning chemicals

  • Apply your perfume or creams before putting on your jewellery

  • Avoid wearing in areas of excess humidity

To clean your Jewellery I would recommend buffing with a jewellery polishing cloth; this will restore it to a nice shine.

Some of my products are intentionally patinated (a process that uses a mixture that darkens the silver) which is mentioned in the listing for the item. If this is the case for your item, buffing with a polishing cloth will remove this patina and leave you with a shiny silver ring rather than the darkened silver ring that you purchased. If this has happened to you and you would like the patina restored please get in touch and we can arrange this.

If you have any questions, please reach out via email

Thanks

Beth Grace
